Virginia Madsen attended the 18th Annual Race to Erase MS held at Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City, California on April 29th. Virginia wore a gorgeous black with white spots. She was also carrying a black bag. At the benefit,Virginia was pictured with actor Nick Holmes. The Race to Erase MS annual event is a celebrity spectacular and gala to raise funds for research to find the cause and ultimate cure for Multiple Sclerosis.

On November 13th Virginia attended the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 2nd Annual Governors Awards held at the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award to producer-director Francis Ford Coppola and Honorary Awards to historian and preservationist Kevin Brownlow, director Jean-Luc Godard and actor Eli Wallach. The Thalberg Award, a bust of the motion picture executive, is given to “a creative producer whose body of work reflects a consistently high quality of motion picture production.” The Honorary Award, an Oscar statuette, is given to an individual for “extraordinary distinction in lifetime achievement, exceptional contributions to the state of motion picture arts and sciences, or for outstanding service to the Academy.”

The Savannah Film Festival is currently scheduled to host Academy Award-nominated actress Virginia Madsen, who will present the documentary “I Know a Woman Like That,” directed by her mother Elaine Madsen, who will also be in attendance.

Liam Neeson, Sir Ian McKellen and Isabella Rossellini will be honored as part of the 13th Annual Savannah Film Festival, which will take place Oct. 30 to Nov. 6.
