The film is written by Jim Taylor and Alexander Payne and directed by Payne, Virginia stars alongside Paul Giamatti, Thomas Haden Church & Sandra Oh.

A promotional onslaught is in effect for director Trent Cooper’s comedy Father of Inventionas a new trailer, poster, and a slew of new images from the film have gone online. Starring Kevin Spacey, Heather Graham, Craig Robinson, Virginia Madsen, Johnny Knoxville, John Stamos, and Camilla Belle, the film centers on a former infomercial guru (Spacey) who finds himself in prison after a design flaw in one of his inventions de-fingers many of his customers.

Check it out in the player below, alongside a new posters, movie trailer captures and production stills.

✿ Father of Invention is directed by American filmmaker Trent Cooper, of only Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector previously, but also a few shorts including Coaching the Minors. The script was written by Trent Cooper & producer Jonathan D. Krane. This film premiered at various film festival markets in 2010, and was picked up by Anchor Bay Films, but they’ve been holding onto it for a while. Father of Invention will finally be released in limited theaters on October 14th this fall. For more info, visit the official website.

Amanda Seyfried (Letters to Juliet) stars as Valerie, a beautiful young woman torn between a brooding outsider (Shiloh Fernandez) and the wealthy man of her parents’ dreams (Max Irons).  Unfortunately, one of them may be the wolf that terrorizes her village.  (Such virility is a turn-on, but werewolves are notorious commitment-phobes.)  Gary Oldman, Billy Burke, Virginia Madsen as Suzette, and Julie Christie also star. Don’t forget the movie opens March 11th.

For decades, the people of the village of Daggerhorn have maintained an uneasy truce with the werewolf, who prowls at every full moon, by offering the beast a monthly animal sacrifice to quench its appetite.  But under a blood red moon, the wolf changes the stakes by taking the life of one of their own.

The victim is the older sister of Valerie (Seyfried), a beautiful, young woman, who has just found out that her parents (Burke and Madsen) have arranged for her to marry Henry (Irons), the scion of the town’s wealthiest family.  But Valerie wants only Peter (Fernandez), the poor woodcutter she has loved all her life.  Unwilling to be parted, the couple was planning to run away together, but, in a horrifying instant, the wolf changes everything.
