•• To start off the new year, I’m bringing you over 2,400 high quality screencaptures from “Sideways”, a 2004 must-see comedy-drama film that made Virginia Madsen an Academy Award and a Golden Globe nominee for her amazing performance as Maya Randall, a local woman who become romantically involved with Miles Raymond (Paul Giamatti). The film is written by Jim Taylor and Alexander Payne and directed by Payne, Virginia stars alongside Paul Giamatti, Thomas Haden Church & Sandra Oh.
•• Two men reaching middle age with not much to show but disappointment, embark on a week long road trip through California’s wine country, just as one is about to take a trip down the aisle.

Fantastic news for all the VMad fans. A promotional onslaught is in effect for director Trent Cooper’s comedy Father of Inventionas a new trailer, poster, and a slew of new images from the film have gone online. Starring Kevin Spacey, Heather Graham, Craig Robinson, Virginia Madsen, Johnny Knoxville, John Stamos, and Camilla Belle, the film centers on a former infomercial guru (Spacey) who finds himself in prison after a design flaw in one of his inventions de-fingers many of his customers.

✿ Father of Invention is directed by American filmmaker Trent Cooper, of only Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector previously, but also a few shorts including Coaching the Minors. The script was written by Trent Cooper & producer Jonathan D. Krane. This film premiered at various film festival markets in 2010, and was picked up by Anchor Bay Films, but they’ve been holding onto it for a while. Father of Invention will finally be released in limited theaters on October 14th this fall. For more info, visit the official website.
